FRESHMAN ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2009 – The event that most of us freshmen have been looking forward to.
With an outburst of energy complimented with a mix of euphoria, the 3-day fun-filled event sent everyone ecstatic with plentiful adrenalin, as though ready to thrust through any sort of hindrance.
Day one marks the start of a new journey for most of us because all of us had to succumb to being newbies again. We hardly knew anyone and felt rather awkward to be in a room with hundreds of strangers. However, The Principle’s Cup Challenge was the source of ice-breaking. We introduced ourselves to one another and within half a day, everyone in SAS knew almost each other. Many games like Crossing River. It was a mentally plus physically taxing because it was truly a game based on teamwork.
When Day Two arrived, we knew we didn’t have enough time for many other games. But when the Cup Challenge was coming to a close, our spirits were enlightened when we got a chance to play the all-time favourite game - Human Foosball. It was challenging because we could only move from side to side. Of course, many bombardments occurred which in turn made the game very very enjoyable. It also strengthened and heightened our team building.
